Real Madrid Femenino vs CD Tenerife – February 22, 2026

On February 22, 2026, I had the opportunity to photograph Real Madrid Femenino vs Costa Adeje Tenerife.

Below are some pictures I took during the match.

In a match defined by early controversy and second-half efficiency, Real Madrid Femenino secured a controlled 2–0 victory over Costa Adeje Tenerife at the Alfredo Di Stéfano, overcoming a stubborn defensive setup before finally capitalizing on their numerical advantage to extend their perfect February run in Liga F.

The match’s defining moment arrived almost immediately, as Tenerife were reduced to ten players in just the 5th minute when Yerliane Moreno was sent off following a VAR-reviewed challenge on Linda Caicedo, forcing an early substitution due to injury. Despite the numerical advantage, Madrid struggled to impose rhythm early on, with the tempo remaining subdued. As the half progressed, chances began to emerge. Naomie Feller tested the goalkeeper around the half-hour mark, while Alba Redondo struck the post just before the break. Still, Tenerife held firm, and the sides went into halftime level at 0–0 despite Madrid’s growing control.

Madrid’s persistence paid off immediately after the restart. Just one minute into the second half, Alba Redondo broke the deadlock, latching onto a pass from Sara Däbritz before beating her defender and firing a low, powerful finish into the net to make it 1–0. The hosts continued to press, and their dominance translated into a second goal in the 59th minute: Eva Navarro’s initial effort was parried, but Filippa Angeldahl reacted quickest, striking a clean volley to double the lead.

With a two-goal cushion and numerical superiority, Real Madrid managed the remainder of the match comfortably, slowing the tempo and limiting Tenerife to virtually no attacking threat. The visitors, having defended resolutely for long stretches, were unable to mount any meaningful response, and the scoreline remained unchanged at 2–0 through to full time.

Madrid’s victory, built on patience, depth, and second-half sharpness, marked their 16th league win of the campaign and capped a flawless run of results in February. While Tenerife showed resilience despite the early dismissal, the turning point proved decisive, and once Madrid found their breakthrough, the outcome rarely looked in doubt.
